Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to work at a customer location in Alabama. The CSR will handle procurement to meet demand, place requisitions and purchase orders, and coordinate with vendors and customers to ensure timely delivery and quality.

The role emphasizes maintaining supplier and customer relationships, tracking order status, and resolving issues to meet Vallen’s standards for price, quality, and reliability of supply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of experience in procurement preferred.
• Customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS-Office and ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to learn ERP and inventory management applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform procurement activities to meet customer demand for products and materials.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
• Expedite or de-expedite orders for on-time delivery.
• Monitor quality and timeliness of supplied products and coordinate returns if needed.
• Communicate order status with customers and vendors.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.
