Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. in Metairie, Louisiana is seeking a Customer Service Representative to be the face of our service, assisting customers, managing rentals with U-Scan, and helping with equipment hookup and inspection.

The role includes on-the-job education, a potential signing bonuses, and opportunities for advancement. A valid driver's license and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills for assisting customers inside and outside the center.
• Ability to educate customers about products and services.
• Comfort with inspecting and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot and check fluid levels.
• Answer questions and educate customers about products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and process returns of equipment.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane and forklift operation (certifications offered on employment).
• Drive a forklift (certifications offered on employment).
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
