Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 3–5 years of related customer service experience.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills are essential.
• Proven reliability, attention to detail, and ability to negotiate and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries about products, provide quotes, and enter orders; handle more complex inquiries with experience.
• Place customer orders by phone, fax, email, or walk-in and ensure accurate entry.
• Influence gross profit through pricing within authorized parameters and adjust non-contract pricing when needed.
• Build relationships to drive repeat business and improve processes.
• Maintain inventory levels, expedite backorders, and prepare orders for shipment.
• Source products from branch, distribution center, or supplier inventories and determine cost-effective shipping methods.
• Handle customer returns when applicable and support specific customers.
• Assist less experienced representatives and resolve customer issues, including item location.
