Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Meriden, CT. You will be the face of our service, assisting customers with rentals, equipment inspection, and education on our products. The role uses U-Scan to manage rentals and inventory and involves moving and hooking up trucks and trailers.

The position requires a valid driver's license and a high school diploma. On-the-job education is provided, with opportunities for advancement and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with ability to maintain a good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent in any field.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Inspect equipment on the lot and check fluid levels.
• Educate customers about products and services and answer questions.
• Prepare rental invoices and process equipment returns.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane and forklift certification offered upon employment.
• Perform other duties and participate in U-Haul University training.
