Job summary

U-Haul in Traverse City, MI is seeking a customer-focused associate to assist customers inside and outside the center with products and services. You will manage rentals and inventory using U-Scan technology and help move and hook up trucks and trailers.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, preparing invoices, and ensuring safety standards on site. Forklift operation and propane handling may be required, with continuous education through U-Haul University.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work around moving parts, fumes, or irritants.
• Ability to obtain propane and forklift certifications upon employment.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work indoors/outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including fluid checks.
• Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane.
• Drive a forklift.
• Serve as the face of U-Haul, contributing to a supportive team.
