Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is seeking a full-time Customer Service Clerk to join our team. You will answer calls, take pickup requests, enter rate requests, and support claims related to freight damage.

In this role, you will interact with customers, coordinate with operations, and help ensure accurate documentation and timely service. A high school diploma and good English skills are required, with proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to type 50+ WPM and work flexible hours.
• Experience with office equipment, PC, copier, fax, scanner, calculator.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls, faxes and emails pertaining to customer questions.
• Take pickup requests.
• Enter rate requests on behalf of customers.
• Investigate overages, shortages and damages to prevent recurrence.
• Reimburse customers for damage or loss of freight through the claims process.
• Perform other work related duties as requested.

Requirements:

Must be able to type 50+ WMP, work flexible hours, dependable, professional customer service skills, experience with office equipment, personal computer, copier, fax, scanner, calculator and fax machine.

Position Responsibilities:

• Answer phone calls, faxes and emails pertaining to customer questions

• Take pickup requests

• Enter rate requests on behalf of customers

• Investigate all overages, shortages and damages to determine the cause and responsibility so that future occurrences may be prevented

• Reimburse customers for damage to or loss of freight through claim process

• Perform other work related duties as requested
