Job summary

WinCo Foods in Utah seeks a Self-Checkout Attendant to provide friendly customer service at our 24/7 locations. You will operate cash register and self-checkout lanes, handle transactions, and help customers with pricing and product location.

The role requires the ability to work varied shifts, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally. Prior retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in retail preferred.
• Ability to operate cash register and SCO equipment.
• Numerical ability and basic math skills for handling payments.
• Comfort with standing and performing routine checkout tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage customers with friendly service.
• Operate check stand equipment to process orders.
• Engage in suggestive selling and other sales techniques.
• Handle monetary transactions and follow cash handling policies.
• Maintain knowledge of product location and pricing; ensure accurate scanning.
• Stock and keep the check stand area clean and organized.
• May assist at self-checkout or customer service desk as needed.
• Follow all laws regarding sale of restricted items and observe store policies.
