Job summary

WinCo Foods in Independence, Oregon, is seeking a Self-Checkout Attendant to provide friendly, efficient service at our 24/7 store locations. You will handle cash transactions, assist customers at two-aisle check stands or SCO lanes, and maintain accurate pricing and product knowledge.

Qualifications

• Work varied shifts in a 24/7 operation.
• Friendly, courteous relations with customers and co-workers.
• Communicate to perform customer relation tasks.
• Complete written forms.
• Read information on merchandise and PLU codes.
• Ensure accuracy in scanning and handling monetary transactions.
• Operate check stand equipment (cash registers, scanners, scales).
• Stand or sit for long periods and perform repetitive work.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Learn and memorize product locations, pricing and policies.
• May use blades for box cutting.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Follow state and federal laws for tobacco/alcohol sales.
• Comply with SNAP/WIC voucher procedures.

• Engages in suggestive selling and other sales techniques.
