Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Indiana LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers, handle transactions, and help keep the store organized and safe.

This role requires excellent customer service, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior retail or service experience is preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent is desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment as per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and team members.
• Maintain store cleanliness, bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall neatness.
