Job summary

IKEA Minneapolis is seeking a part-time Children's Activity Area Associate to support our Småland play facility, creating a safe and welcoming environment for visiting children while their caregivers shop.

You will register children, supervise play, plan activities, keep the area clean, and build meaningful connections with families. You may also assist in other customer experience tasks as needed, including cashier or greeter coverage, evenings and weekends required.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or childcare preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification training provided.

Responsibilities

• Register children, monitor and supervise play, and maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
• Plan and execute children's activities both in and outside Småland.
• Build meaningful and empathetic relationships with children and their caretakers.
• Adhere to IKEA play facility and safety & security policies and procedures.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

As a Children's Activity Area Associate, you will:

• Contribute to creating a pleasant and safe environment for the children that visit our play facility.
• Register children, monitor and entertain children while in the playroom, and maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
• Participate in the planning and execution of children's activities both in and outside of Småland.
• Build meaningful and empathetic relationships with children and their caretakers.
• Strictly adhere to all IKEA play facility and safety & security policy and procedures.
• Support in other areas of the customer experience function as needed, such as cashier and greeter role to provide additional coverage when needed.

JOB TYPE: Permanent - Part-time

HOURS - HL1 (12-20 hrs/wk) Open availability required Monday-Sunday.

SHIFT: Retail Environment, must be able to work nights & weekends.

The hourly pay for this role is $17.50
