Job summary

IKEA in Atlanta is seeking a part-time Children’s Activity Area Associate to help create a safe, engaging play space for visiting families.

You will register children, supervise play, plan activities, and build caring relationships with children and their caretakers while following all safety policies. Some shifts may include cashier or greeter duties to support the customer experience.

Qualifications

Experience working with children or in a child-friendly environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to engage and supervise children safely.

Responsibilities

Register children and monitor/entertain in the play area.
Maintain a clean and hygienic environment in Småland.
Plan and execute children’s activities both inside and outside the play area.
Build empathetic relationships with children and caretakers.
Adhere to safety policies and procedures. May assist cashier and greeter roles.

•As a Children’s Activity Area Associate, you will:
•Contribute to creating a pleasant and safe environment for the children who visit our play facility.
•Register children, monitor and entertain children while in the playroom, and maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
•Participate in the planning and execution of children’s activities both in and outside of Småland.
•Build meaningful and empathetic relationships with children and their caretakers.
•Strictly adhere to all IKEA play facility and safety & security policies and procedures.
•Support in other areas of the customer experience function as needed, such as cashier and greeter roles, to provide additional coverage when needed.

JOB TYPE: Permanent – Part-Time

HOURS: 12–20hrs/week

SHIFT: Retail Environment, must be able to work nights & weekends.

The hourly rate for this role is $18.50
