Job summary

IKEA Jacksonville is seeking a Children's Activity Area Associate to supervise the play space, register and monitor children, and ensure a safe, hygienic environment. You will help plan activities and build positive relationships with children and their caretakers.

The role is part-time, permanent, with hours of 12-20 per week and a starting pay of 17.50 USD per hour. Benefits are available for eligible co-workers, supporting work-life balance and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or childcare preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification training provided.
• Physical Demands: Lifting and Carrying Occasionally (1-25lbs)

Responsibilities

• Contribute to creating a pleasant and safe environment for the children who visit our play facility.
• Register children, monitor and entertain children while in the playroom, and maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
• Participate in the planning and execution of children's activities both in and outside of Småland.
• Build meaningful and empathetic relationships with children and their caretakers.
• Strictly adhere to all IKEA play facility and safety & security policies and procedures.
• Support in other areas of the customer experience function as needed, such as cashier and greeter roles, to provide additional coverage when needed.

The pay range for this role is $ 17.50/hr.
