Job summary

Virginia Panel Corporation in Waynesboro, VA is seeking a Customer Service Associate to handle quotes, orders, and customer communications on a full-time basis. The role includes coordinating delivery timelines and credit terms, and providing technical support when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with two or more years related experience and/or training.
• In-depth knowledge of MS Office Suite, order processing and manufacturing software.
• Strong communication skills and ability to respond to inquiries and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Prepares quotes and enters orders for customers ensuring accuracy of data entry.
• Informs customers of available products, quotes prices and credit terms.
• Estimates date of delivery to customer based on production and delivery schedules and notifies customer of delays.
• Provides technical support to customers by responding to inquiries and/or obtaining support from an Applications Engineer when needed.
• Investigates and resolves customer problems related to deliveries, pricing, product reliability, etc., with authority to settle minor complaints.
• Works with Regional Sales Managers and outside sales representatives to build and maintain customer relationships and track account activities.
• Monitors established credit limits of customers and ascertains credit rating of new and existing customers when needed.
• Enters new customer data and account information for current customers into database
