Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a Customer Quality Liaison Engineer to partner with customers and plant teams, drive 8D problem-solving, and validate corrective actions on the line. You will lead rapid containment, PPAP/APQP packages, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to improve quality performance, products, and processes while coaching teams on

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience working directly with customers in a quality/engineering environment.
• Expertise with structured problem-solving (8D, 5 Whys, Six Sigma or similar).
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 quality-management systems.
• Fluency with core quality tools: SPC, APQP, FMEA, MSA, Control Plans, PPAP.
• Experience using statistical software (e.g., Minitab) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary quality interface to customers - triage concerns, coordinate internal responses, and communicate status through customer systems and scorecards.
• Lead investigations of customer-reported issues: root-cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys, Six Sigma), implement corrective and preventive actions, and verify permanence on the shop floor.
• Deploy rapid countermeasures - containment, inspection, sorting - when quality events affect customers or production.
• Support qualification and validation of components, processes, tooling, and equipment through data collection and analysis.
• Create, maintain, and control quality documentation; ensure work is executed to company and customer standards.
