Responsibilities include negotiating prices, driving profitable sales, and building strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business. Some backorder expediting and returns handling may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.

• Moderate computer skills and use of business systems are necessary.
• Product knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to basic customer inquiries, provides quotes, and handles order entry.
• Places customer orders via telephone, fax, email, or in person.
• Negotiates sale and purchase prices within set parameters to influence gross profit.
• Adjusts non-contract pricing to meet customer demands while maximizing profit.
• Builds customer relationships to encourage repeat business and drive process improvements.
• Maintains inventory levels and sources products from branch, DC, or supplier inventories.
• Determines cost-effective shipping methods for orders.
• Expedites backorders and aids with returns as needed.
