Job summary

Michaels in Brick, NJ is seeking a Store Associate to deliver friendly customer service, help shoppers find products, and ensure a fast, accurate checkout experience. You will unload trucks, stock shelves, and keep the store well-merchandised.

You will engage customers in the Michaels Rewards program, participate in BOPIS and SFS processes, follow SOPs, and support shrink control and safety programs. Total Base Pay Range listed: $15.92-$18.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred
• Must be at least sixteen (16) years old in the U.S.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods
• Ability to move throughout the store; physical mobility
• Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching; lift heavy boxes

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Responsible for merchandise recovery and maintenance including return/go back process
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and Company policies; maintain compliant operations
• Interact with others professionally; promote company values; be a role model
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
• Other duties as assigned
