Job summary

Pollo Tropical is seeking a team member to help prepare and serve food, greet customers, and keep a clean, safe dining environment. You will operate kitchen equipment, assist with orders, and support both kitchen and service staff in a fast-paced setting.

Ability to communicate in English, handle multiple tasks, and navigate basic tech like POS and tablets is essential. This role offers entry-level growth within a casual, family-friendly atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Must be able to speak English in positions requiring immediate customer contact.

Responsibilities

• Greet and thank customers.
• Take and relay customer orders through verbal communication or automated systems.
• Relay customer orders from service counter to kitchen operations.
• Cook, prepare, package and pour food and beverages using kitchen equipment and following safety procedures.
• Stock kitchen and service areas with necessary food, beverage, packaging and service materials.
• Fill food and beverage orders as part of the kitchen and service operations.
• Handle payments and provide correct change.
• Unload deliveries of food, beverage, packaging and serving materials.
• Clean the interior and exterior of the restaurant and maintain a sanitary environment.
• Observe alcoholic beverage laws when applicable.
• Maintain safe public access to the restaurant.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
