Responsibilities

• Greeting, engaging and assisting customers in-person
• Process customer transactions quickly and accurately at the check lane
• Handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, coupons) per policy
• Maintain loss prevention by adhering to cash handling limits
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs)
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
• Stay current with ads and promotions
• Adhere to food safety regulations
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs
• Create welcoming environment and answer product questions
• Follow all laws and company guidelines
• Work cooperatively in fast-paced environments
• Manage conflicts calmly and professionally
• Maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information
• Assist customers including minors and those with special needs
• Perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
