Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Cashier/Checker to greet customers, assist them, and process transactions quickly and accurately at the checkout lane. You will operate the POS system, handle cash, checks, cards, and various programs, follow company policies on restricted items, loss prevention, and safety guidelines, and maintain a welcoming store environment for all customers.

Role requires effective communication, basic math skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting

Qualifications

• Clear communication skills required
• Basic math ability (counts, adds, subtracts) required

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist them at the checkout.
• Process transactions quickly and accurately through the POS system.
• Handle tenders (cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons) per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow policies for restricted items and safety guidelines.
