Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate in the United States to maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate a cash register, stock merchandise, and support store leadership in opening, closing, and executing store plans.

Responsibilities include leading customer service efforts, handling cash, stocking displays, and ensuring safety and planogram compliance.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and percentages.
• Ability to perform cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash handling and deposit procedures.
• Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner; total purchases, collect payment, and bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise; restock and rotate on shelves; build displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; mop floors; clean restrooms and stockroom.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties of Store Manager/Assistant Manager in their absence.
