Job summary

Houchens Ace Hardware in Bowling Green, KY is seeking a floor associate who embodies our 'Amaze Every Customer Every Time' standard. You will engage customers, determine their needs, and keep your department clean, stocked, and organized.

You will unload trucks, restock displays, help customers, participate in daily huddles, and promote promotions and Ace Rewards. A strong team player with flexible availability including evenings and weekends is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience of various departments is strongly desired.

• Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise; keep department clean, organized, and stocked.
• Execute daily operational goals with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
• Cooperate with others and work as part of a retail team; participate in daily huddles and share improvement ideas.
• Remove promotional tags as required after events and flyers.
• Restock displays and monitor end caps and side wings.
• Assist customers with simple complaints; involve a manager as needed.
• Use the Five Foot Rule to acknowledge customers and provide assistance.
• Promote Ace Rewards program and inform customers about promotions.
• Assist in training and development of peers.
