Job summary

Houchens Ace Hardware is seeking an energetic associate to engage customers, determine needs, and provide friendly service across departments. You will stock, restock, and maintain displays while supporting daily store goals and promotions.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and willingness to learn all areas of the store. You will participate in team huddles and help ensure a safe, welcoming shopping experience for every customer.

Qualifications

• Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Skilled at providing prompt, friendly and attentive customer service.
• Strong organizational skills with a passion for details.
• Willing to learn all areas of the store and help train others.
• Proven track record of being a team player.
• Knowledge and experience of various departments is strongly desired.
• A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.
• Availability must be flexible including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise, keep assigned department clean, organized and stocked.
• Execute daily goals and priorities with a fast-paced, high-attention-to-detail approach.
• Cooperate with others and participate in daily huddle meetings, share improvement ideas.
• Remove promotional tags and price tags as required after sales events.
• Restock displays, monitor end caps and side wings.
• Assist customers and greet them in assigned departments or storewide.
• Demonstrate the S.A.L.E.S. process and promote Ace Rewards program.
