Job summary

VSP Vision is seeking a part-time Optical Outlet Associate to assist patients, support clinicians, and process purchases with care. You will help customers choose frames and lenses, take measurements, and ensure accurate fittings in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires 1–2 years in a related field, proficiency with MS Office, and strong verbal/written communication. Bilingual abilities are a plus, and adherence to service standards is essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a related field.
• Working knowledge of MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide unsurpassed customer service to attract and retain customers.
• Greet customers and explain the process clearly.
• Assist patients with merchandise selection, fitting frames, and dispensing eyewear.
• Resolve visual problems or challenges for customers.
• Manage customer transactions at the point of purchase.
• Be a center of excellence for others with focus on Right the First Time and patient satisfaction.
• Assist customers in frame and lens selection for lifestyle and budget; suggest improvements.
• Support other staff with complex product needs and prescriptions.
• Take measurements and adjust eyewear accurately with attention to detail.
• Inform Office Manager of office issues noted by staff, doctors, or patients.
• Perform all tasks as directed by Office Manager.
