Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a friendly Cashier/Checker to create an outstanding customer experience at our Cordova location. You will greet customers, process transactions, and help maintain a safe, welcoming store environment.

You will handle cash, checks, cards and loyalty offers, follow store policies, and support loss prevention while delivering fast, accurate service. Prior retail experience is a plus, with opportunities for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills including counting, addition and subtraction.
• Experience as cashier or bagger is preferred.
• Ability to provide friendly, helpful customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in-store.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle cash, checks, credit/debit, and loyalty offers.
• Follow policies on cash handling, restricted sale items and pricing discrepancies.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Assist with promotions, ads, stamps, gift cards and coupons as applicable.
• Respond to customer questions and resolve issues professionally.
