Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a friendly cashier to deliver outstanding customer service and help maintain a safe, clean store environment. You will greet customers, process transactions, and ensure accurate handling of various payment methods and promotions.

As part of store operations, you will follow policies, stay informed about pricing and ads, and contribute to a positive shopping experience for all guests. This role emphasizes honesty, integrity, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Operate the POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons) per policy.
• Follow policies on cash handling, shortages/overages, and restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures; assist with equipment maintenance.
