Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. seeks a Loss Prevention Specialist to maintain a safe, secure store environment and deter theft at entrances and on the floor. You will greet customers, project confidence in your Ross vest, and work with store leadership to apply Code 50 inspections and loss-prevention directives.

You will develop partnerships with teammates, support brand standards, monitor for suspicious behavior, and participate in training to reduce shortages while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including but not limited to, additional background screening, physical examination, fingerprinting and/or drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible presence to deter theft and ensure safety for Associates and Customers.
• Greet Customers with eye contact and professional demeanor while monitoring for security issues.
• Collaborate with Store Leadership to follow Loss Prevention directives and reduce shortages.
