Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to maintain a safe, secure environment and deter theft at store entrances and on the sales floor, wearing the required uniform and presenting a confident, professional presence.

You will partner with Store Leadership to enforce Loss Prevention directives, greet Customers, monitor activity, minimize shortages, and support a positive Ross shopping experience while upholding company policies and legal requirements.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including but not limited to, additional background screening, physical examination, fingerprinting and/or drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Provides visible presence at store entrances/exits and on sales floor.
• Promotes customer service with greeting customers and assisting as needed.
• Collaborates with Store Leadership to enforce Loss Prevention directives and minimize shortages.
• Gathers indicators of theft and communicates findings to leadership.
• Supports safety and security for Associates and Customers.
