Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to provide a visible presence at store entrances and throughout the store, deterring theft and maintaining a safe environment for associates and customers.

You will partner with store leadership to implement loss prevention directives, monitor for suspicious behavior, and uphold Ross brand standards while delivering excellent customer service. Prior experience in retail security and a valid guard license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
• 1 year retail supervisor experience or equivalent training preferred.
• 1 year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and resolve conflicts.
• Must comply with applicable federal and state laws and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible presence at store entrances/exits to deter theft and ensure safety.
• Walk the sales floor to identify theft indicators and address potential issues.
• Partner with Store Leadership to implement Loss Prevention directives.
• Greet customers, deliver excellent service, and uphold Ross brand.
• Monitor security policies and respond per guidelines; support external theft response.
• Train and educate Associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
• Adhere to dress code and represent the company brand professionally.
