Job summary

Salesforce is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers focused on Data 360 to configure, build, test, and deploy real-time data solutions inside enterprise environments. You will craft ingestion pipelines, identity resolution, and secure data foundations while grounding AI agents with RAG and vector stores.

You’ll work with a delivery team spanning architects, deployment strategists, and customer technical teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or technical implementation.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience implementing Salesforce Data 360 (Data Cloud) or a comparable enterprise data platform.

Responsibilities

• Build in customer environments using Data 360 configuration, SQL, Apex, Flow, Python, REST API, and deployment tooling.
• Engineer the data layer across ingestion, harmonization, and identity resolution.
• Prove it works by creating test data and validating outcomes across edge cases and performance scenarios.
• Ground the agents with Retrieval-Augmented Generation, vector databases, and knowledge bases.
• Implement MCP and agent-to-agent communication protocols to ensure secure collaboration.
• Connect Agentforce to enterprise apps via robust data integration patterns.
• Govern data securely across Salesforce ecosystem and external systems.
• Build scalable and secure workflows with event-driven architectures and OAuth/SAML.
• Debug ingestion issues, schema drift, and permissions with thorough logging.
• Document tradeoffs and justify architectural decisions to architects or leads.
• Accelerate with AI tooling to automate build processes and reduce time-to-value.
• Co-build with customers and partners, hand off with clear ownership and runbooks.
• Surface platform gaps with live evidence to product and support.
