Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer specializing in Data 360. You will be a hands-on builder who configures, tests, and deploys Data 360 inside customer environments, turning designs into production data pipelines across ingestion, harmonization, and identity.

You’ll work with architects, deployment strategists, and customer teams to deliver focused proof-of-concept, rollout, and stabilization efforts. Strong SQL, Apex, Python, and data-architecture skills are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software or data engineering experience with a production data solution.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience implementing Salesforce Data 360 (Data Cloud).
• Experience building data pipelines and integrations using data platforms or tech.
• Proficient in SQL and one enterprise language (Apex/Java/Python/JS).
• Knowledge of data modeling, APIs, batch/streaming processing, and security.

Responsibilities

• Build in customer environments using Data 360 configuration and code.
• Engineer ingestion, harmonization, and identity resolution across sources.
• Create and validate test data, ensure robust outcomes.
• Ground AI data integration with RAG, vector databases, and knowledge bases.
• Design protocols for agent-to-agent communication and MCP.
• Connect Agentforce to enterprise apps with secure data patterns.
• Govern data integration, transformation, and governance across Salesforce ecosystem.
• Build scalable, secure workflows with authentication and authorization.
• Troubleshoot ingestion, mapping, schema drift, and performance issues.
• Document tradeoffs and hand off to architects or leads.
• Automate build processes with Data 360 APIs and MCP Servers.
• Pair with customers and partners, providing reusable assets and runbooks.
