Job summary

GEICO in Fredericksburg, VA is hiring a Customer Service Representative to guide policyholders through coverage needs, handle billing questions, and provide recommendations for world-class service.

Starting at $23.33 per hour ($47,009.95 annually), the role includes benefits from day one, PTO, holidays, 401(k) matching, tuition assistance, and ongoing licensing/training. In-office training precedes an 80% on-site / 20% off-site schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of customer-facing experience required; 3+ years preferred.
• Active Personal Lines or Property & Casualty license preferred (training and exam fees provided).
• High School Diploma or GED required; College degree preferred.
• Experience in high-volume call centers with KPIs and measurable goals preferred.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, problem-solving, and empathy skills.
• Adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and multitask across platforms.
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming calls, messages, billing questions, and policy updates, while offering recommendations.
• Resolve customer concerns, ensuring a positive experience.
• Stay informed about GEICO’s products and identify cross-selling opportunities to assist customers.
