Ferrellgas is seeking a motivated Customer Service Specialist to join our team in Houghton, MI. This full-time role handles inbound and outbound customer communications, maintains accounts, and supports delivery coordination to drive service quality.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year of customer service experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Candidates must be U.S. workers with no sponsorship requirement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Exceptional customer service and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational skills with typing and data entry experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with team-building ability.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Access.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
• Applicants must not require sponsorship for employment visa.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, chat, social media, or email in a polite, courteous, and professional manner.
• Work with customers daily to sustain and improve business relationships.
• Ask probing questions to identify customer issues or concerns.
• Ensure accurate account maintenance and updating of account information.
• Use techniques to reach resolutions that satisfy requests while reducing follow-ups.
• Schedule deliveries and perform basic negotiations for new and returning customers.
• Handle general service orders, pricing questions, and escalation handling.
• Assist with setup of new customer accounts and meet performance standards.
