Job summary

Family Dollar LLC is hiring a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, process sales at the register, and help maintain store cleanliness and stock levels.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior retail or service experience is preferred, with a high school diploma or equivalent being advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, and taking out the trash.
