Job summary

Family Dollar LLC is hiring a Customer Service Associate to provide a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, and help keep the store stocked and orderly.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior retail or service experience is preferred. You should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain professional interactions with customers and team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks for stock replenishment
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment
• Follow instructions and adhere to productivity standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
