Job summary

Stop & Shop in Cranston, RI seeks a Customer Service Manager to lead Front End, Online Pick-up, and Cash Office operations, drive sales targets, and ensure safe, well-organized departments that deliver best-in-class service.

You will recruit, train, and evaluate staff, foster a diverse and inclusive team, and collaborate across functions to improve performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in retail grocery.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Customer Service departments (Front End, Online Pick-up, Cash Office).
• Meet or exceed sales and profit targets while maintaining sanitation and safety standards.
• Recruit, hire and onboard new employees; maintain talent within the department.
• Lead training, monitor performance, and support professional growth.
• Manage labor relations and resolve employee issues promptly.
• Drive customer service excellence and ensure well-stocked, clean stores.
• Monitor KPIs, optimize processes, and manage departmental budgets.
