Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. Amherst, NY store is hiring a Store Associate to deliver friendly customer service, help customers locate products, and ensure a fast checkout experience.

You will unload trucks, stock shelves, and keep the store well-merchandised and in stock. The role also involves promoting the Rewards program and handling omnichannel processes like BOPIS/SFS, while following SOPs and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods.
• Ability to move throughout the store and to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes.
• Responsible to complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including returns/go back, and store recovery to ensure a well-merchandised, in-stock store.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties; support shrink and safety programs.
