Job summary

The Kroger Co. in Brighton, MI is seeking a Customer Service/Cashier Associate to deliver outstanding service at the checkstand and help maintain store operations.

You will handle cash transactions, assist customers, and ensure pricing and policy adherence in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include opening/closing the desk, processing refunds, managing lotteries, and supporting store accounting tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Six months cashier experience to work at Customer Service Desk.
• Must be 18 years of age (19 in some states for tobacco).
• Ability to pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Perform cashier functions including open/close register, ring sales, complete tender transactions, bag merchandise, and know produce codes.
• Complete file maintenance log for price discrepancies.
• Maintain cleanliness of checkstand area to housekeeping standards.
• Answer telephones and comply with corporate policies.
• Promote and follow Company initiatives.
• Verify and remove Electronic Article Surveillance tags at point of sale.
