Kroger Family of Companies in Hillsdale, MI is seeking a friendly Cashier/Checker to deliver outstanding customer service at the register and assist customers with product questions. You will process transactions, handle multiple tenders, and uphold store policies and safety guidelines.

The role requires good math, strong communication, and the ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a clean, welcoming store.

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Mansioni

• Greeting, engaging and assisting customers at the checkout
• Process transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently
• Understand POS system and handle tenders and coupons per company policy
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention policies
• Comply with store policies on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs)
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
• Follow policies for stamps, gift cards and coupons
• Stay current with ads and promotions
• Adhere to food safety regulations
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions
• Perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting issues
• Create a welcoming environment and answer product questions
• Follow local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage conflict professionally
• Integrity in handling customer and business information
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
• Must be able to perform essential functions with/without accommodations
