Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is hiring for part-time cashier/courtesy clerk roles at our Bellevue, WI storefront. You will greet customers, handle transactions, and ensure a safe, welcoming shopping environment while following company policies and promotions.

Experience with basic math and prior bagger/courtesy clerk work is preferred. We value honesty, teamwork and a commitment to customer service in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers; maintain a welcoming environment.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
• Operate the POS system and handle tenders (cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons) per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and protect company assets from loss.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator and follow pricing procedures.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal ads and promotions; support loading and displays.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures; identify and report unsafe conditions.
• Support preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying management of needed repairs.
• Create an inviting environment by answering questions about products and services; assist in store operations.
• Follow all laws and company guidelines; collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate honesty, integrity and courteous customer service; resolve issues cooperatively.
• Provide support for minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as required.
