Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is hiring a Cashier/Checker in Bellevue, WA. You will greet and assist customers, process transactions, and operate the POS system while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

You’ll adhere to cash handling policies and safety guidelines to ensure a secure shopping experience for guests. You will be expected to stay informed about weekly ads, promotions, and store policies, while supporting a fast-paced environment and delivering outstanding customer service across

Qualifications

Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

Greet, engage and assist customers at the checks lane.
Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
Understand POS system and handle cash, checks, credit, SNAP EBT, WIC and coupons per policy.
Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
Follow policies for restricted items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs) and postgates.
Report pricing discrepancies and stay current with ads and promotions.
Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
Create a welcoming environment and help customers with product questions.
