Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the checkout
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
• Operate the POS system and handle cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC and coupons
• Adhere to cash handling limits and protect company assets
• Follow policies for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs)
• Report pricing discrepancies to Scan Coordinator
• Follow procedures for stamps, gift cards, and coupons
• Stay current with ads and promotions
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety programs
• Maintain a welcoming environment and assist customers with questions
• Comply with all laws and company guidelines
• Manage conflicts calmly and professionally
• Protect customer and business information with honesty and integrity
• Assist and accommodate minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
