• Greet, engage, and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle various tenders (cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, offline SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons).
• Adhere to cash handling limits and manage loss prevention responsibilities.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Support safety programs by reporting hazards and inspecting equipment.
• Provide welcoming customer service and assist with product questions throughout the store.
• Follow all laws and company guidelines; work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage conflicts calmly and protect customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed; assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
