Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Alabama LLC in Grove Hill, AL seeks a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You’ll assist with questions, process sales at the register, and help keep the store well-stocked and clean. This part-time role requires good communication, reliability, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and team.
• Maintain store cleanliness, bathrooms, floors, trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
