Job summary

Family Dollar in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail, hospitality, grocery or drug store preferred.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, waste, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
