Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Alabama LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide an exceptional shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, maintain store cleanliness, stock replenishment, and help with unloading merchandise.

The role emphasizes safety, professional interactions, and adherence to productivity standards. Prior retail customer service experience and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs are preferred. Part-time opportunities may be available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
