Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Louisiana LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers with questions, manage transactions, keep shelves stocked, and maintain store cleanliness.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred), prior customer service experience in retail or related fields, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hospitality, grocery, or drug store environments highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness, restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping areas neat.
• Other duties as assigned.
