Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Louisiana LLC is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle sales at the register, stock shelves, unload merchandise, and maintain clean, safe store conditions.

The role requires good customer service, strong communication, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. Prior retail or service experience is preferred, and you’ll work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise as needed.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks and replenish stock.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful store environment with professional interactions.
• Keep store clean including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
