Job summary

Kroger in Scottsdale, AZ is hiring a part-time Bagger/Courtesy Clerk to deliver outstanding customer experiences. You will greet customers, assist at the register, and process transactions accurately using the POS system.

You’ll handle cash, checks, and common payment methods while following company policy and loss-prevention guidelines. The role requires staying aware of ads and promotions, following safety rules, and providing help with products across departments.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations and stay customer-focused.
• Basic math skills for transactions and balancing procedures.
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process customer transactions through the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, etc.) according to policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss-prevention guidelines.
• Follow policies for restricted sale items (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Assist with pricing discrepancies, ads, and promotions.
• Maintain food safety and safety procedures; report hazards to management.
• Provide welcoming, helpful service and knowledge across departments.
• Follow all laws and company guidelines; manage conflicts calmly.
