Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the checkout.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Operate POS system and handle cash, checks, cards, and loyalty offers according to policy.
• Maintain compliance with cash handling limits and loss prevention.
• Follow policies for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow coupon/postage/gift card procedures.
• Stay current with ads and promotions and ensure food safety guidelines.
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs as needed.
• Provide friendly, helpful service to customers and coworkers throughout the store.
• Adhere to all laws and company guidelines; handle high-paced environments and conflicts professionally.
