Job summary

Kroger stores are seeking a friendly, reliable Bagger/Courtesy Clerk to greet customers and assist at the checkout. You will process transactions accurately, understand POS operations, and manage a variety of payment types while following store policies for safety and loss prevention.

The role requires calm under pressure and basic math skills, with previous bagger experience preferred. This on-site position offers part-time hours and opportunities to grow within Kroger’s store operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process customer transactions through the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons) according to policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Stay current with ads and promotions and maintain store cleanliness and safety.
